Full Text
Congenital ectopic cilia of the eyelid is rare and presents as a bunch of grouped hair on the lateral quadrant of the upper eyelid or conjunctival surface of the eyelid.[1] The embryologic origin is unknown, and few cases have been reported.[2],[3],[4] A 4-year-old female child presented ectopic cilia, with approximately 15 hairs over the right upper lid since birth [Figure 1]a. The hair was initially short, but grew along with eyelashes. At the request of the parents, the lash-bearing skin and subcutaneous tissue were excised, and the skin was opposed with interrupted sutures [Figure 1]b.{Figure 1}
