A 21-year-old male presented to us with a history of accidental trauma with a cricket ball four days earlier. The anterior and posterior segment examinations were normal except for an isolated posterior capsular rupture of the lens [Figure 1]. There were no other visible signs of blunt trauma. Best-corrected vision was 20/60. The patient came for follow-up till four months during which there was no significant cataract formation. This case is extraordinary as isolated posterior lens capsule ruptures following trauma are rare and are usually associated with rapidly progressing lenticular opacification.[1],[2],[3] | Figure 1: Isolated posterior capsular rupture as seen in retroillumination.
