A 19-year-old female underwent uneventful laser refractive correction (LASIK) with a nasal hinge in February 2020. Nine months after the procedure, the patient was accidentally struck in the right eye with a child's fingernail. On examination, the uncorrected distance visual acuity (UCVA) was 6/18. Slit-lamp examination revealed LASIK flap dehiscence from 7 to 12 clock hours with the flap folded backward [Figure 1]. No other clinical signs of trauma were noted. The flap was lifted, undersurface debris was cleared, and repositioning with ironing was done using balanced salt solution under topical anesthesia. Bandage contact lens was placed. The final UCVA was 6/6 with a well-attached flap. Delayed flap dehiscence is a known phenomenon with diffuse lamellar keratitis and epithelial ingrowth being the most common aftereffects.,
