A 70-year-old man with Fuchs dystrophy and cataract underwent femtosecond laser-assisted phacoemulsification and Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK). The 8.5-mm descemethorhexis in the recipient's eye was also laser-assisted [Figure 1]a. On his 24-h follow-up, a regular curvilinear fit was observed between the smooth and transparent endothelial graft and the peripheral receptor endothelium with guttae [Figure 1]b. One week later, the different structures of the anterior segment formed a series of concentric circles with mydriasis seen by retro-illumination [Figure 1]c, the circles being from outer to inner as follows: suction plate mark, limbus, endothelial graft, pupillary margin, edge of the lens and capsulorhexis. The femtosecond laser may be useful in DMEK.
